A Strong Woman

With all the adversities of life,
a strong woman maintains
a sweet smile,
a loving heart,
a lovely demeanor,
and a resilient outlook
in life..

She doesn't care 
about absurdities 
brought by demeaning gossips,
instead, she knows her time
is precious and makes
the most of it.

A strong woman is loving
 A strong woman is patient
A strong woman is generous
A strong woman is compassionate
A strong woman is kind
and dedicated to her family.

She cries herself to sleep at night
but wakes up with a stronger resolve,
a smile on her face, 
and a new outlook of life every morning.

Being understanding is more important than being right

         There are times when being understanding

is more important than being the one who is right…

sometimes we need not a brilliant mind that speaks 

but a patient heart that listens..

not keen eyes that see faults,

but open arms that accept..

not a finger that points out mistakes

but gentle hands that lead..

not a strong figure that stands tall,

but a willing shoulder that catches a tear..

not a prestigious status that bears a good image,

but a caring home that shelters a weary soul..

and each moment we need not

the applause of men not the approval of the world

but the Love, the mercy, and the grace of our God

who sustains and the same God who wouldn't waste a hurt..
